Hi Trish Davies, here and today I want to focus on how to create a personal brand business. A personal brand is very powerful as it enables you to connect with your customers at a much deeper personal level.
High street and international brands build up brand loyalty over time. They will have their brand identity present over all forms of marketing and social channels. Things like logo, company colours, fonts, imagery and their products and services.
What they also have is a defined marketing message that attracts their customers to their brand. Add to that any slogan and tagline you have the major elements to create brand awareness.
A personal brand business must have all those elements in place as well but there is something that sets them apart.
International Brand vs Personal Brand
For example, look at Apple who were formed back in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak & Ronald Wayne.
Now I am not going into the history of Apple as that information is freely available online. The point I want to make is that Apple have built their modern-day brand loyalty on the suite of products they offer. I am not saying that the history doesn’t matter. It does because it is the story behind the company which is important.
Out of those three founders Steve Jobs is the name that first comes to mind. However modern-day Apple customers don’t have a personal affinity to Steve Jobs. They have an affinity to the products!
Your personal brand business will have your name behind it, you will be front of house so to speak. Everything about your personal brand business will be focused on who you are, what you have done and how you can serve.
Your objective is to be the person people first come when they have a problem because you have the solution. Business in general is based upon 2 factors which are problems and solutions, it is a very simple concept.
The solutions that you provide will be based upon the problems that you have experienced. At some point you will have experienced the same problems as your customers are now experiencing. The difference between you and them is that you have found the solution which could be your own or from other third parties.
You are now in the position to fill that gap, that void in people’s lives but on a personal level. Your customers will connect with you, like you and then trust you. You are the brand, you are the solution, you are the thing that will make a positive impact on them.
How Do You Build A Personal Brand Business?
To illustrate this, I will use myself as the example. Over the last 15 – 20 years I have created financial freedom through creating businesses in different industries and sectors.
My personal brand is Trish Davies International and that brand is based upon the following statement.
“Here you will find a wealth strategy and business model that will create a life of freedom and choice. All whilst doing what you are passionate about”.
So, when people land on the home page of Trish Davies International they have total clarity as to what to expect. The content I publish on there is based upon my wealth creation experience and success. That success has been within property investment, coaching, mentoring and digital marketing.
I have built that personal brand business over the last 15 years by telling my story and sharing my expertise through various training programs. What I have also done is expand my personal brand into more niche specific brands.
There are two main niche, but still, personal brand businesses that have evolved over time. Buying USA Real Estate and Build Your AU are branches to the trunk of the tree which is Trish Davies International. All three though are built upon three core elements which are –
