Website Content Examples To Enrich Your Authority Website

Having an authority website is a must when you are in business as it is platform for you to deliver your message so here are some website content examples to use.

Hi Trish Davies, here founder of Build Your AU. The focus today is on website content examples to publish on your authority website. Your website is going to be your home on the internet and a place where you welcome your audience.

Therefore, it must represent who you are, what you stand for and how you can help your audience. What you must do is relay that information to your audience through the content that you publish. This will be the first thing that people see when they land on your website for the first time.

There is only one opportunity to make a first impression and as the saying goes “first impressions last”. You want to make that first impression a good one obviously and provide a great experience for your website visitors.

They must be clear in their mind that they have reached the right place. A place where they feel comfortable, safe, and secure in the knowledge that you have the solutions they are looking for.

With all that said I thought it would help you to share some website content examples. Examples that you can implement into your own authority website and create a hub for your audience to check into when they need to do so.

I will look at structure and various elements to put in place so that you stand out from your competition. So, without further ado let’s get started.

Website Content Examples

Over the next few sections of this article I am going to share some website content examples. Some of them will be static elements on your website and some will have a more fluid effect.

What you must understand is that every piece of content you publish must have a purpose behind it. Don’t worry I will explain more shortly. When it comes to structure then your website must be easy to navigate as this gives the visitor a great user experience.

You want people to get the information they need easily other wise they will click away. Then you will lose them forever. I am sure you can relate to this with some websites you have visited in the past. Lets start by looking at some static elements to your website.

What Pages Do You Need For Your Authority Website?

What I want to talk about now is the content you put on the pages of your blog. Your pages are static entities which are designed as informational tools. They are designed to inform you visitors about you, your business and the products and services that you provide.

Your pages will appear in the main header navigation and at the foot of your website. The pages in the header will be all about you and your business. The ones at the bottom are more legal requirements so that you are fully compliant with third party website terms and conditions.

Here is a list of the pages you should initially have on your website.

  • Home
  • About
  • Products & Services
  • Blog
  • Contact

These will be within your header navigation menu.

  • Privacy Policy
  • Terms of Service
  • Any Disclaimers That Are Relevant To Your Niche/Industry

These appear at the foot of your website.

Your home page is a welcome page to your website and the about page is more about you as the person behind the business.

Your products page speaks for itself and your contact page is where people can connect with you. So, you need to sit down and think about what you want to say to people when they land on your website.

Do Some Keyword Research

Also, you will need to incorporate keywords that relate to your business which you can get from the Google Keyword Planner or Keywords Everywhere.

Make sure the information is relevant and congruent to you and your business. You only get one chance to make an impression!

Your legal pages can either be created by a legal professional or there are many stock legal templates you can use. Just make sure you adapt them and personalise to your business.

The Blog page is very important as this provides a fluid element to your website which I will now focus on.

How Blog Posts Brings Life To Your Website

blog post

The blog facility is a fluid element to your website. This is where you post will sit and it is constantly changing every time you create new content. This is what Google and the other search engines will pick up on.

I would say that majority of the traffic that comes to your website will be from your blog posts. The reason I say this is because this is what people will click on when they do a search in the main search engines. When people search online, they are looking for solutions, so they enter keywords to find relevant information.

This is where SEO or Search Engine Optimization is crucial for you to get free and organic traffic from the search engines. The content you create must be relevant to the information that people are looking for.

I will cover the types of content you want to publish within your posts shortly. Before I do that though I want to stress the importance purpose for your content.

Your Content Must Have A Purpose

Every piece of content you create needs to have a purpose so let’s look at some examples. Say for argument sake you are going around the world as an adventure. Maybe there are times that you are off the grid so to speak because of technology limitations.

After I few days you may want to create a post to let your friends and family know you are ok and back in the land of the living. That is a purpose.

For business say you are looking to generate a lead for your business. You could create a post offering something for free such as an eBook, a video training course and at the end of the post you tell the person where they can get the free offer.

This would be another page where they submit their details to gain access. Here the purpose would for lead generation.

Or maybe you are looking for a sale there and then. You would create a post highlighting a specific problem that people face. You then relate to that problem and lead the reader into your solution. You then offer your solution and tell the person to “Buy Now”.

So, this is quite a simple formula to use. Either –

  • Inform
  • Get a Lead
  • Make a Sale

Your purpose may be different, but you must have clarity on why you are creating the content. Otherwise it will be somewhat irrelevant and less effective. Now I want to look at some website content examples that focus on styles and different formats.

Types Of Website Content

When it comes to website content examples there are really 4 more main formats that you use. They can be applied to your pages and posts and they are as follows –

  • Text
  • Video
  • Audio
  • Infographics

Text

Text is what you would expect to see when you visit any kind of blog or website. Text blog posts are articles which the creator, and in this case you, will publish to address a certain topic or issue that people are looking for a solution for.

Google and the other search engines are gigantic information hubs, that is what they desire. As a business owner you must create this content to feed their desire.

creating video

Video

You know what a video is, but this is one of the most popular forms of media that web visitors consume. The reason is because it is more engaging than text. Also, Google loves posts that contain video, especially if the video is originally hosted on YouTube. Why is this?”, I hear you ask.

Well the reason is that Google owns YouTube. Both Google and YouTube are in the top 5 search engines online. So, plenty of traffic could be potentially winging its way to your blog posts.

Audio

Audio is an MP3 file which you can embed within your posts. It could be a recording of your Podcast, an interview you do or if you are a musician it could be one of your songs.

Info Graphics

I like info graphics because they give a visual interpretation of problems and solutions all in one package. Again, they are engaging as they are like mini story books within an overall image.

Styles Of Website Content

You may be thinking what I mean by different styles of content but there is a reason for drawing your attention to this topic. Styles are different to which format you use for your content creation.

Like with mixing up the formats of your content you need to mix up the style of your content.

For myself to explain it I will give you the formula that I use, and it is based around different styles which are as follows –

  • Educate
  • Entertain
  • Inform
  • Inspire

All of the website content examples I have shared with you are what I recommend to my Build Your AU members. Through the program I go into more detail on how to implement each and every one to connect with your audience. To make that connection and convert them into customers.
