What you must understand is that search engines are there to provide information, that is their purpose. They are though a business and their visitors are their audience so they must deliver a great user experience. Therefore, they will only show your content if it fits the bill, if it provides that great user experience for the people searching.
If you provide that great quality then they will reward you by listing your content in their results.
