What Are Personal Brand Goals?
Personal brand goals describe what your brand wants to accomplish over a specific timeframe. They become part of your overall personal brand strategy and can be seen as your long term plan.
When setting your personal branding goals, you must be very specific, don’t leave any grey areas. First and foremost, there must be a reason behind what you are doing otherwise you will never know what your are trying to accomplish.
There is no point shooting in the dark, you must be focused otherwise you will be counter destructive. You will waste valuable time; endless amounts of money and your business will never grow!.
Your personal branding goals will be an action plan. There will be theory behind it as I have mentioned but you action plan includes the steps you must take action on. Kind of an obvious statement to make, I know, but it is the only way to accomplish your goals. Right let’s get into the 5 personal branding goals that I want to share with you today. Time to take some action!.
Personal Branding Goals To Set For Your Business
Create Brand Awareness
Creating brand awareness means you want to reach as many people as possible. With that said you want to reach the right people which is something that many business fail to do.
Your products and services will reflect the needs, want and desires of a specific segment of society. Therefore, it is all about that segment recognising you for who you are, what you do and why you do it.
It takes people time to “cotton on”, to truly understand who you are. Therefore, you must market your message to you audience in the places they hang out. Once they see you a few times they will become curious and want to know more.
Generate An Emotional Connection
As I have mentioned over time people become curious, so they check you out. This is a critical phase which either keeps people with you or you lose them forever. Now I want to focus on the former so that you build a loyal and longstanding tribe.
To do this you must make an emotional connection, this is the breaker. To do that you must share your story because there will be parts of it that resonate with your audience.
Your stories must describe your “why”. Why you started your business. The obstacles you have faced and how you have overcome them. Your audience must be aware that you are the real deal. That you have stood in the shoes they are now wearing.
When you pull on their heartstrings through your own story you will connect with them. There is no doubt on that.
Show Why & How Your Products & Services Are Different
Differentiating your products and services is what will set you apart from your competitors. In some respects, you take them out of the equation. There are many ways to differentiate yourself.
Your “Why” is the biggest one as no one else has your “Why”. Then look at your price and that doesn’t mean you must be the cheapest. Delivering a service and solution is different to providing a product. Therefore, what makes your service different?
Create Credibility, Authority & Trust
You must look professional, and you must demonstrate authority. This is what appeals to your audience; this is what will attract them to you. The trust element emerges from the relationship you build with your audience.
Think of the people or businesses that you trust. Then ask yourself why you trust them? Take that answer and ingrain it into making people trust you.
Now there are some practical things you can do to create your credibility. The first thing is to have a professional looking website, an authority website as I like to refer to it. Then create social media profiles.
Once you have your presence online set up you must create content for all those platforms. You must create value for your audience because it creates awareness. Your content can create that emotional connection, shows that your credible and finally showcases your products and services.
Motivate Your Audience Into Purchasing
Now this is the money element to your business. This is where your audience gets out their credit cards. Now if you are clear on the first 4 personal branding goals you have set this stage will be easier.
Your audience should be in a state of mind to deal with you and not your competitors. However, they may need a little bit more motivation. Usually, some form of discount like a coupon or free trial tips them over the edge.
Satisfaction and money back guarantees work as well. You must become creative to remove any final objective your audience may have.
So, there are some common personal branding goals that you must consider, and I recommend implement. Remember if you want any further information on Build Your AU then please click here.
