Hi Trish Davies here and the focus for today is one of my passions, one that I love to teach to others. That is personal branding and to also invite you to a special personal branding workshop, more on that in a moment or two.
Branding is vital in business whether that is for small, medium, large or international businesses. It is an identifying feature and something that helps you stand out from all the noise around you.
Think about when you search for information, what do you do? You “Google It”. Google has positioned themselves as the leading force for search related information. There are many other search engines, but Google is the one people think of from the get-go.
Think about Apple and how simple their identity is with their logo. Also think about Nike and their “Tick” and finally McDonalds with their famous “Golden Arches”.
Branding is not all about aesthetics though, it runs much deeper. A great brand is sits upon foundations that are underpinned and aligned with values, morals, ethics beliefs etc.
Each of those businesses I have mentioned will have their own which are unique to them. This is what makes them so successful, and they live by what they say each and every day. Fundamentally this is what attracts people to them who then develop loyalty and don’t look elsewhere.
Branding Creates Impact & Trust
A brand has an impact on people’s lives. They develop trust and the knowledge that the brand has their back. Now you are on this page because you want to build your own personal brand so everything I have shared does apply to you.
The difference is that personal branding means it is your name and reputation on the line. Business brands can change personnel over time. CEO’s, Presidents & Chairperson move on, but the brand stays intact.
Jeff Bezos has just recently stood down as Amazon’s CEO. He will still have some role in the company, but the company will carry on without him being the figurehead on a day to day basis.
The company has generated that trust over the 27 years they have been in business. They have made an impact on people’s buying habits. Those people trust Amazon to deliver so they go back time after time.
Personal branding is all about you. It is your face that people notice and not necessarily your logo and livery. Your personal reputation is on the line all of the time. You will be scrutinised to make sure you are maintaining your values, morals, ethics, beliefs etc.
You message must be authentic. Your positioning must come from a place of authority. When you create these fist two elements your audience will be drawn to you as if you are a magnet.

The Build Your AU personal branding workshop is a linear 9 step process. That process is broken down into three categories or pillars as I like to refer to them. They are as you may well have guessed the three “AU’s”. So, let’s look at how these three pillars fit into the personal branding workshop.
Authenticity
I consider authenticity as the epitome of a persona brand as it is all about you as a person. You are unique and this is your biggest attraction to other people. Unique perspective comes to mind, no one else thinks like you do to such a deep degree.
You have unique elements that come together to make you “tick”. Also, you have experienced things at such a deep level to anyone else. You have your own story that must be told to the world.
With all this in mind the first 3 steps of the Build Your AU personal branding workshop is a deep dive. A dive right into your inner core to extract everything that is unique to you and bring it to the fore. In brief you will uncover the following three elements of your personal brand.

Much of your personal brand will be defined within these three steps and are closely intertwined with the next step.
Authority
The next step is to establish your authority and then showcasing it to the online world. A world where your audience will find you. This is very much about taking the information from the first step and publishing it to the world.
I am sure that when you come across someone of interest you look them up online. You “Google” their name and see what comes up. Then you do your due diligence and thoroughly research who they are, what they do and how, if needed, they can help you.
Well, this is exactly what people will do when they come across you. This is your opportunity to tell them your story. The road you have taken to get you where you are now. What obstacles you have overcome and how you can help them.
To enable you to do this you must create content and you must have a platform to publish that content. Also, you must cement that authority by providing solutions to the problems those people are experiencing. To do all of this the middle section of this personal branding workshop covers the following elements.

- Developing An Authority Business Model – (Structure, Products & Services etc)
By the end of the first two stages of this personal branding workshop you will be ready for stage three. That is all about attracting the right people to your business.
Audience
The first two steps are all about defining who you are, what you do and what you are great at. They are also about positioning yourself on how you can serve people, make an impact on their lives. Now you must connect with those people.
So, the final stage to this personal branding workshop is all about attracting the right audience to your business. There are billions of people on the planet but only a very small percentage of those people are your audience.
They have problems which you have the solution to. This stage is about connecting with the people who need you, who can relate to your content. Those people will form a connection with you, they will relate to your message. In time they will get to know you, to like you and ultimately trust you.
All of you audience start out as a ghost to you as you are a ghost to them. They will find you online through the infrastructure you create in the previous step. Your objectives are to make them aware of who you are and they problems they are experiencing.
Then to engage with them and start to form a relationship with them so they make commitments to you. You must take your audience on a journey, a self-discovery journey of their own that has transformational impact. That transformational impact happens through the solutions that you offer.
To achieve this, you must gain exposure within your marketplace. You must bring bodies into your business on a regular basis, and I help you achieve the following.
