Trainer, coach, and digital entrepreneur Trish Davies looks at why online training courses could be the biggest opportunity to come out of the worldwide pandemic.
Hi Trish Davies, here and I have just had one of my many inspired thoughts to come downstairs to reconnect with you. So, I made myself a cup of tea and pressed that record button on my phone to shoot an update video.
At some point in the past you have entered your details and became a subscriber to receive updates from me. That is awesome and I thank you for trusting me with your personal details. I realise that it has been around 12 months since you have heard from me so wanted to update you with what’s been happening.
Forgive the dressing gown but I wanted to reconnect here and now and just could not wait. One of my business mantras is authenticity and really you can’t get much more authentic than this.
The end of last year brought the end to an era in time. Another decade gone and 2020 was coming and the hope and aspiration was that it was going to be great year. Let’s make the next decade as successful as possible and one to remember. That was my thoughts and I am sure it was yours as well.
My thoughts were based upon everything that I had accumulated along with my skills, knowledge, and experience. When the new year rolled in, I was convinced that 2020was going to be a knockout year! Little did we all know then and New Years Eve seems a lifetime away.
What’s Been Going On?
I live in Australia and the year couldn’t have started any worse with the awful bushfires we experienced. They brought with them a lot of fear, chaos, and uncertainty for everyone in Australia.
You may have seen the vision on your television of how it effected people here, their houses burnt down, and communities torn apart. It has had a massive impact emotionally and psychologically. Then just when we thought that we may have turned the corner literally the whole world came crashing down.
In March, this year Covid-19 took grip of the world and more chaos than anyone imagined ensued. Here in Australia we went into isolation and then complete lockdown with borders shutting to the outside world. They still are as I speak to you today.
Country after country followed suit and the whole world went into lockdown. The aspirations we had suddenly seemed to be going further away from us. The world was a small place due to the connectivity we enjoyed through travelling. That got taken away from us in a flash because of the border restrictions. Suddenly a sense of isolation on a national level came to haunt us.
We have never experienced anything like this before and the emotional and psychological effect is profound. People have gone from a position of security, living a comfortable life, having some savings in the bank to complete uncertainty.
Some of those people may only have a few years left within their profession and looking forward to retirement. Maybe that’s not going to be a reality for when they had hoped. If that is the case, then 2020 could be the worst 12 months ever! Or maybe there can be a twist in the tail.
Out Of A Crisis Comes Opportunity
Back in 2008 – 2009 the world financial crisis hit. It was a traumatic time all around the world with millions of people losing their jobs. Chaos erupted around the world, yet opportunity presented itself.
Personally, the opportunity I came across was real estate and real estate investing. I was in a position to capitalise because I had invested in myself through education. I out myself through training and self development so I was equipped with the tools I needed.
Therefore, I could identify those opportunities when they presented themselves to me. During that period of time of severe economic meltdown was when my property investment business was born and is still running today!
My business flourished during massive global shifts, economic downturns, chaos, uncertainty, and fear. The reason it flourished was because I identified an opportunity and was prepared to act.
The point I want to make is that the world is going through a massive and similar shift here in 2020. Therefore, masses of opportunity will unfold because of what has been happening.
A question for you is “how are you equipping and training yourself”? What knowledge and skills are you acquiring that is going to suddenly allow you to identify opportunities? Or possible ideas that will be able to be turned into your next future venture, project, or business idea?
This is something that I feel very strongly about. What have you been doing in these moments of isolation, reflection, and deliberation? Instead of sitting around watching television what are you doing?
There are far better ways for you to spend your time to ensure you come out the other side. You can emerge stronger and be empowered with the ability to have choice in your life.
Online Training Courses Are A Massive Opportunity For You
There are millions of people who have had that choice taken away and are now looking for business opportunities. There is a clear demand for coaching large groups or coaching individuals.
Although the travel restrictions have pushed countries further apart, technology has brought them close again. There are no geographical restrictions when you leverage platforms such as Zoom and other similar solutions.
Over the last few months, you see this technology showcased on your television. Political leaders and celebrities are connecting with each other and the world in general on these platforms.
You can virtually walk into their homes as they deliver their message, and this is an opportunity for people who can see it. There is opportunity for you to coach others in these strange times that we are experiencing because you have expertise.
That expertise dovetails with your skills, knowledge, and your story. You can show people how you overcome obstacles in life so they can go ahead and do the same. YouTube is one of the biggest search engines and individuals turn to it for solutions, especially in recent times.
You can position yourself as the problem solver and take your place in a billion-dollar industry. You may think how you can become and expert and solve peoples problems which is only natural. I am telling you that you can due to your own unique perspective and experience that you have. However, you do face a challenge which I can help you overcome.
What Is Your “Thing”?
Now you may be wondering what the hell I am talking about when I say your “thing”. Your challenge is to deliver your skills, expertise, and knowledge to your ideal audience. You may not be clear on what they are so you must develop the ability to pull it out of you. This is where I come in.
By the way I to had this challenge and I have overcome it by developing a process. Over the last 12 months I have developed this process and a model to extract from you the data you need to find your “thing”.
I have been working with an exclusive group of highly talented digital entrepreneurs. They have been going through this process to define their “thing” and it has enabled them to create online training courses. Then their courses are delivered to an online audience who are experiencing the same problems as they once had. In other words, the audience wants a solution and the course creator, which could be you, has.
There are millions of searches everyday looking for solutions. Those solutions can be based upon your experiences, knowledge, and expertise. Your biggest challenge is how you package everything up and then deliver it to your ideal audience.
What I have put together over the last 12 months will help you overcome that challenge. The process shows you how you can create online training courses and attract the right audience.
You can then market your online training course to provide value and solutions. This is incredibly powerful and comes from the value that you have inside. Well this is your chance to deliver that value to people and have a massive impact on their life.
This Is A Marathon And Not A Sprint
One thing I want to make clear is that this does take some time and as they say, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. Over the last 12 months I have dedicated one and a half hours per week to develop the process and program.
Now I am in a position to share it with you and all I ask is that you dedicate the same amount of time. It may not take you as much time depending on your thing. Maybe in three months, six months you will have your own training program to provide people with solutions.
In the grand scheme of things that is not a lot of time and you can create this around your daily routine. You may have a home to run, kids to get to school or a fulltime career but this can be done alongside all that.
You may still be in lockdown and isolation so this could be the perfect timing for you to create a legacy. A legacy that can give you financial certainty and stability that you control.
Stability is not evident in the world at the moment and you have seen worldwide brands facing financial ruin. Individuals who are employed by these massive companies are looking for certainty. Through your expertise you can deliver that certainty people are looking for along with safeguarding your own circumstances.
