Hi Trish Davies here and my focus today is to help you create a personal branding strategy. Having a strategy in place leads you to success within anything you do in life. Strategy plays a huge part in business as it gives you structure, planning and direction.
If you don’t have strategy then you will in all likelihood fail and become another statistic. Personal branding works along the same principles and having a personal branding strategy is paramount to success.
Your audience must know who you are, what your values are, what you stand for. They also need to know how you can help and serve them. All of these facets don’t magically appear of fresh air. You must have a plan to work to, you must have a personal branding strategy.

The Build Your AU Personal Branding Strategy
The personal branding strategy I help you create revolves around 3 core pillars. Your personal brand is in the centre, it is the core, the hub so to speak of your business. Around it are the 3 core pillars that link together to create the perfect personal brand.
I have developed a unique process that identifies what your core 3 pillars are. They are totally bespoke to you, after all you are unique, and this is what sets you apart from any competitors.
In many respects your uniqueness eliminates your competition because they don’t offer what you do. It may be similar, but they just can’t replicate how you can serve the same audience.
Build Your AU focuses on 3 core principles that make up your personal brand. Now there is a bit of a clue in the title, the AU so let me expand on this. The AU represents the following.
- Authenticity
- Authority
- Audience
Authenticity
Authenticity means something or someone being having the quality if being real and, or, true. To authenticate an object, you need to have provenance and the classic example of this would be a painting.
If someone said they had a Van Gogh, Monet or Picasso they need to back it up. This would mean a certificate of provenance, proof in other words. Also, an art expert would also go over it with a fine tooth comb to confirm it’s authenticity.
Your personal brand will be based upon your authenticity. People must know that you are real and true. There is no point trying to fake it and make out something that you are not.
Now the easiest way to establish your authenticity is through your own story. This is what people need to be made aware of. They must know the good, bad and the ugly. You must be transparent, honest and act with integrity.
You have unique talents and gifts that must be extracted from your inner being. What I do is extract all of this information so that you can craft your story in an authentic way. This is your provenance so to speak.
Authority
Now authority can have many different meaning depending on the context. Governments have authority, businesses and organisations have authority. Individuals such as CEO’s, managers, politicians etc.
Now as regard authority for your personal brand I dig deep into what you have achieved. I look at your successes, the transformations you have experienced. I help you position yourself as an expert in your field based upon all of the above and much more.
Audience
Your audience is the segment of society that you are going to serve. It is not the whole worlds population, just a micro portion of that population. What I do is help you identify who those people are, where they hang out and what problems they are experiencing.
Most of this information I will help you define when we establish the first two pillars for your brand. You will likely find that your audience are people who closely relate the person you are.
They will have experienced obstacles and roadblocks that you once did. The difference from you and them is that you have found the solution that they are looking for.
You can then offer that solution in an authentic way and from a position of authority. This process is what makes Build Your AU unique. I help you define who you are, what you have done and then find the people who you can serve.
